CAD+ add-in conflict with 3rd party SOLIDWORKS add-ins

Symptoms

CAD+ Toolset misbehaves when a 3rd party add-in is enabled. Alternatively, a 3rd party add-in may misbehave when CAD+ Toolset is enabled.

Reason

Add-ins developed in .NET (C# and VB.NET) and loaded in SOLIDWORKS share the same application domain. In some cases this can result in a conflict between loaded libraries.

Solution

Go to the installation folder of CAD+ Toolset and run the RegCadPlusSwAddInConflictFixer.cmd as Administrator. Types registered successfully message is displayed. Restart SOLIDWORKS

To remove the fix: go to the installation folder of CAD+ Toolset and run the UnRegCadPlusSwAddInConflictFixer.cmd as Administrator. Types un-registered successfully message is displayed. Restart SOLIDWORKS
