Signing VBA macros with a trusted publisher using CAD++ Macro Signer


The CAD++ Macro Signer utility can be used to register VBA macros with a trusted publisher.

Select macro files in the list to review their signing certificates and sign macros.

An icon is displayed next to the macro to indicate the certificate status: valid, not signed or invalid.

To sign the macro, click the Sign button

Select the signing certificate with available options:

  • From Certificate Store
  • From Certificate Store By Thumbprint
  • From Local File

Signing identity and the publisher ID are displayed. Check Extensibility Manager for more information about registering trusted publishers.

Optionally, specify the timestamp server to keep the macro trusted after the certificate expires.
